i went to high school with the girl that wrote that letter.

anyway, this seems to be the trend everywhere. they want to merge rutgers with the other public schools in the state (NJIT, TCNJ, etc) and make a conglomerate. this will of course be bad for the schools but good for the government.

There probably is *some* truth to that, however I would be willing to bet there is a lot of backstory that they don't know/don't understand regarding the whole thing.

Bottom line: Tuition has to go up because the entire STATE is in the fucking red, and people between the ages of 18-25 DON'T VOTE. If they want to make this change, put that on a fucking poster. The only way the govt will listen to students is if they show up on election day.

I'll see what else I can find out. I have a couple of friends up at Potsdam.

hehe, I figured you would be able to get to the bottom of the story..

it all didn't quite sound right.. while I could believe some of it.. there was a lot that I just couldn't believe...
