OK.. I am watching SNL right now... It is funny as hell...
Starts out with the UN... Right after Colin Powell's speech showing the weapons Iraq has.. showing how they are hiding them.. Showing how horrible a person Saddam is...

LMAO.. all the countries agree and agree the best thing to do about it is nothing and do nothing quickly.. LMAO!

Than they go on talking about where they can go to lunch... LMAO

That about explains how it went... The evidence that Powell presented clearly showed reasons for taking Saddam out...

quote from nightowl301
Sometimes wars actually save lives. If England and France had any chutzpah in the mid or late 30s when Hitler started taking over countries like POland, and they would have tried to stop him faster instead of appeasing him, then it probably would have saved millions of lives, especially the millions of people who senselessly died in the Holocaust. Most of those people were systematically killed toward the end of Hitler's reign.

Saddam is a ruthless dictator and wants the whole Middle East to be HIS with Baghdad as the capital. His people are sick and starving because INSTEAD of using the gov't and its money to help them out and get on their feet, they're speing money on statues to Saddam Huissein. He is horrible and will kill people right in front of their families if they don't one little thing that pisses him off. Saddam needs to go!

I completely agree... LOOK AT THE EVIDENCE PEOPLE!

and to go on... (this makes a LOT of sense... read it a couple times...)

countries that announce they have nukes, usually do so b/c they are putting everyone on guard and basically saying "don't mess with us". They aren't necessarily gonna use them. They just want them in case they HAVE TO use it.

Like in 1999 when India and Pakistan both announce that they had nukes, it was b/c they both are fighting over disputed lands and they both hate each other and they both wanted to put the other one on guard to know "DONT MESS WITH US".

But Saddam, hes HIDING what hes doing with his nukes. If someone is HIDING it, its usually b/c they plan on actually using it. I forget who I heard explain this but it sounded like a pretty reasonable theory.

So.. a question to all of you who are against taking saddam and the Iraqi army/government...

Should we wait until her has fully developed the nuke and drops it on NYC or something of that nature before we fucking kill him? Would that give you enough fucking justification to kick their asses?

Sheesh.. everyone in the world is not capable of a peaceful resolve.. and a MILITARY DICTATOR from the middle east SURE AS HELL isn't...
innocent people are going to die in Iraq regardless. Be it by a mis-fired American bomb or by Saddam deciding he just dosen't like that village this week

.. or should we just go ahead and attack them in hopes that those "weapons of mass destruction" that we're sure they have aren't fired right back on our own asses.

What that statement is saying is...
one of the main things peace people say is "innocent people will die"
well, we don't AIM for innocent people.. but, thats war.. sometimes mistakes happen and people die as a result...

I'm saying if it is going to take bombs to get this hitler out of power.. along with his government and military and anything close to what he would need to make a weapon of mass destruction...
Then... we can't let the possibility of a mistake stand in our way...

Him and other terrorists are TARGETING innocent americans...
if we kill an innocent Iraqi it's cause of a mis-fire...

I hardly see it as a reason to not go to war...
I, being an american, is in his crosshairs... So, I say kill him and take his countries power away from it...

Do you think this is actually going to stop terrorists from targeting innocent americans?

it is evitable we are going to war. it isnt the 1st time and im sure has hell it will not be the last. of course everyone wants peace but that isnt going to happen. so people just need to get over it. innocent people die everyday even when there is no war going on. people need to remember saddam started this. hello it has been 1.5 years now since the bombing. look at all those people who died. they were innocent. saddam is making threats on our country. what are we supposed to do. sit back and allow him to continue killing innocent people? no i dont think so. i say war is the only way to end this. we know saddam will not stop until he is in complete control over the middle east.. then he will want more.. and go after more.. so i say lets stop him now while we still can.

All I can say, is that I am against war. I do respect your opinions though and kinda see where you are coming from.
